Sick of Fighting
British boyband A1 are sick and tired of the "war" with fellow boyband Five. The
lads are annoyed by comments made by their pop rivals in the past. Mark says, "We
never had anything against them, but when they almost personally start knocking
the music there comes a time when you have to say, 'Shut up!' cus it gets silly."
Ben adds, "Events that have happened in our lives recently have made things like
that seem really pathetic. There are much more important things in life than
slating other people. People should just concentrate on the music they're doing."
Benjamin Bratt
Poor Benjamin, having loss Julia Roberts had to be a setback. But that was sure
to happen, as the track record below should be proof. Roberts has quite a
reputation for falling for her co-stars. The actress's list of boyfriend's
include, Liam Neeson, Dylan McDermott, Kiefer Sutherland, Jason Patric, Matthew
Perry, Daniel Day-Lewis, Ross Partridge and health-club owner Pat Manocchia. She
was briefly married to country crooner Lyle Lovett. But maybe there is a light
on the horizon for Benjamin. He has worked in Montreal with Katie Holmes on "Abandon,"
, maybe that will lead somewhere.
David Schwimmer
David Schwimmer was rushed to hospital after a bar-room brawl left him needing
stitches in a gashed forehead. The actor was catching up with a friend at New
York's Thompson Hotel when he got caught in an argument between two women that
left a shard of glass in his head. Schwimmer's spokesman, Ina Treciokas, says,
"A woman from across the bar flung a glass at another woman. They were
apparently a little rowdy and drunk." Though one source claims the glass-thrower
attacked Schwimmer, Treciokas insists that he was an accidental casualty.
Heath Ledger
Heath Ledger has got some explaining to do. The young star of "The Patriot" and
"A Knight's Tale" was seen at New York's Lotus, not with Heather Graham, but
with a mystery woman. Graham was busy shooting "The Guru" in New York City, but
according to witnesses, Ledger "seemed not to care about whether anyone was
watching" as he and the mystery woman "were all over each other." The pair left
the club together at about 5 a.m. Graham and Ledger have been hot and heavy
despite a 10-year age difference. The two met in Prague. Graham told Talk
Magazine that her Australian hunk Heath is "such an amazing person." We bet
he'll have some "amazing" answers about the chick he was hanging out with, for
sure.
Jason Priestley
Actor Jason Priestley received his sentence for his DUI conviction from - a
whopping five days of community service! The former Beverly Hills, 90210 star
was picked up after he crashed into a pole while driving drunk in Hollywood
Hills. As a result, he'll be serving a grueling five days in a work-release
program at California's Gateways Community Correction Center.
According to reports, the actor is expected to put in up to 12 hours a day and
will even spend a few nights at the center. Priestly didn't put up a fight with
the judge's decision, saying he "will respectfully fulfill his commitment" to
the court and that he was "remorseful" for what had happened.
Josh Hartnett
Josh Hartnett is breaking teenage girls' hearts around the world - by admitting
he's in love. The 'Pearl Harbor' hunk is revealing he's dating an old friend
from his hometown of Minneapolis. He says the relationship is an old one that
he's rekindled, admitting, "I screwed up on my girlfriend with someone on a
movie set and then we broke up. A while later after we became friends again she
said to me 'I know why, I understand completely what it's all about, how hard it
is to stay involved with someone far away when you're making a movie.'" He
continues, "She taught me the word 'communitas' which means a community that
comes together to make a piece of art, then disperses. I definitely screwed up
and now it's just a change in the circumstances. It's really tough not being
with her to tell you the truth. When we see each other we can't deny our
feelings."
Lance Bass
Lance Bass could be singing "Bye Bye Bye" to hundreds of lovelorn female fans if
his plans to marry 7th Heaven stunner Beverly Mitchell work out. The couple are
madly in love and want to get hitched as soon as possible, say pals. They've
even started planning a secret wedding! "Beverly was afraid what her boss, Aaron
Spelling, would say about her and Lance," says a source. "Mr. Spelling's very
protective of his young cast members and doesn't want them to be distracted from
their careers. But it's gotten to the point where Beverly and Lance are tired of
keeping their romance under wraps." The couple met just over a year ago when the
actress convinced producers to have the 'N Sync heartthrob guest star on 7th
Heaven. They hit it off right away, and sources say by the second day of
shooting, Mitchell invited Bass home for dinner and to meet her family.
Mark Wahlberg
Make sure when you watch Rock Star you stay for the credits!!! The crew of new
rock movie Rock Star humiliated star Mark Wahlberg - by forcing him to listen to
one of his old hits while he was filming a crucial scene. Wahlberg was just
about to perform for thousands of extras - as Steel Dragon frontman Izzy - when,
instead of the rock tune he was supposed to lip sync to, Marky Mark & The Funky
Bunch's Good Vibrations was played over the sound system - complete with
breakdancers who leaped onto the stage. One crew member says, "Mark's expression
was hilarious. I think for a moment his whole life flashed before him. He was
mortified." The scene was so funny, director Stephen Herek decided to keep the
outtake in the movie - it's played over the credits at the end of the film.
Ricky Martin
You'd think Ricky Martin would be pretty satisfied with his physique, but he has
one major complaint: his bottom! According to tabloid The Star, Ricky decided
his butt is too flat and he's turned to the pros for help. He's doing everything
from rock climbing to special exercises to boost his behind. (Maybe this is a
job for Suzanne Somers and her Butt Master!) It's a big secret, but the Livin'
la Vida Loca hunk has even resorted to wearing specially designed buttocks pads
sewn into his jeans! Of course he's considered surgical butt implants, but the bottom line is the
idea scares him. So for now, it's exercise and padding.
Tom Cruise
Tom Cruise is to get behind the wheel of a racing car again in a remake of cult
classic Death Race 2000. Tom, who met his ex-wife Nicole Kidman whilst making
1990 racing movie Days Of Thunder, will produce and star in "Death Race 3000", a
re-working of the 1975 B-Movie starring David Carradine and Sylvester Stallone.
Director Paul Anderson says, "Tom plays Frankenstein, the best driver in the
world. But he has that nickname because he's been in so many crashes. He's a
little bit beat up. He's a little bit reckless."
Vin Diesel
Vin Diesel, is stunned with his sex symbol status - because he makes no effort
to gain female admirers. The star of The Fast And The Furious, admits that,
despite his past days of working hard to attract the attentions of females, he's
still shocked that he's gained such a gathering of fans. He says, "I never
thought of myself as a sex symbol, and it's the one claim that kind of makes me
blush. It feels so bizarre, because I've always been an extrovert, I've always
worked to get any attention or admiration. So it's bizarre to be charged with
these things without having to work for it. But it's very, very flattering."
Ashton Kutcher
Sources close to Ashton Kutcher say that he recently revealed that his
girlfriend of two years, Demi Moore, is pregnant! Friends say that Demi was
stunned, yet thrilled at the news.
Brad Pitt
Brad Pitt made a real Jackass of himself - appearing in a second episode of the
hit MTV series. Pitt shocked viewers of the television show by appearing dressed in a full ape
costume, go-carting down the streets of Los Angeles. But Pitt really stuned his
loyal fans by taking part in an unamusing fake kidnapping episode.
Unwitting bystanders were visibly shocked and panicked as they watched Pitt -
who was in on the prank - be snatched by a group of burly men and pulled into a
black truck.
Dennis Quaid
Dennis Quaid blames his and Meg Ryan's broken marriage on their determination to
be perfect parents. Quaid feels he and his ex-wife forgot about each other's
needs while they were busy planning their careers around son Jack.
He explains, "We tried to be very good parents, so Meg would go off and do a
film and she'd come home, and I'd do a film, and that's not exactly conducive to
building a close and healthy relationship. There wasn't a lot of togetherness
there. In the process of being good parents, I think we forgot about us."
More About Heath Ledger
Heath Ledger, got himself in a few sticky situations when he first moved to
America - because he didn't understand the language. "The word thong means flip
flop in Australia, and when people talk about Christmas they're talking about
summer. So he was getting in trouble when he was talking to American acting
agents. They'd ask him what he does in Australia at Christmas, and he'd answer,
'Well, you know, we just all sit around in our thongs and take it easy.' He
didn't realise they thought he was sitting in his g-string."
Jay Hernandez
Hunky Latin actor Jay Hernandez's movie success is tinged with sorrow because
the man who guided his career died just as their dream was coming true. As his
film Crazy/Beautiful was premiering in Hollywood, his manager and mentor Howard
Tyner suddenly collapsed from a heart attack. He fell into a coma and died two
weeks later, leaving Hernandez heartbroken. The 21-year-old star explains, "There
are so many things going through my head. I keep hearing his words. He has been
more than my manager - he's like a part of my family." Tyner discovered the
Mexican-American actor years ago in an elevator. He enrolled Hernandez into
acting school and sent his pictures to casting agents. Then Hernandez hit
success with his role opposite Kirsten Dunst. Now he faces the future without
his friend to show him the way. But he is remaining positive and staying focused
on his own real-life goals - especially making Tyner proud. He says, "It's all
about doing the right films and choosing the right roles."
Joshua Jackson
Joshua Jackson, who played Pacey on the TV series Dawson's Creek, was arrested
and charged with drunkenly assaulting a security guard at a hockey game. The
native of Vancouver was arrested Saturday night at a game between the Carolina
Hurricanes and the Pittsburgh Penguins. He's scheduled to appear in court on the
misdemeanour charge. Arrest warrants allege that Jackson grabbed 40-year-old
guard Drew Grissom around the neck and struck him. In jail, tests showed his
blood alcohol content registered 0.14. He posted $1,000 bail early Sunday and
left.
L. DiCaprio
Leonardo DiCaprio is popping up everywhere. Leo joined director Martin Scorsese
in Japan for the premiere of the long awaited "Gangs of New York," co-starring
Cameron Diaz. And if working with one of Hollywood’s hottest directors wasn't
exciting enough, how's this for a dream team? Leo, Tom Hanks, and Steven
Spielberg, the trio behind DiCaprio's other film, "Catch Me If You Can." It’s
the true story of the youngest con kid ever to make the FBI's Most Wanted List.
Matthew McConnaughey
Matthew McConaughey is laughing off reports he and Janet Jackson were an item -
but he admits she's a "sweetheart". The actor was linked with the super-saucy
singer after they were spotted getting intimate at an award ceremony. He says,
"I met her at the Grammys and found her to be a very very sweet lady. We swapped
some good music and she's a dear lady." "She's a sweetheart but we're not dating,
we're just friends. That's about all there is right now."
Robbie Williams
Nicole Kidman has denied reports that there is any romance between her and
Robbie Williams - insisting they are just good friends. The sexy actress met
Robbie after he invited her to record a duet of Frank Sinatra's Something Stupid
with him, and there have been reports that the two grew to become more than just
friends. But the Moulin Rouge star has dismissed that the two are having an
affair - even though she thinks he's irresistible. Nicole explains, "Robbie and
I have become good friends - that's all." And to reports that they recently
spent a night together in a London hotel she blushes, "I was in London and we
filmed our video together. It's not what people might think, but Robbie is
irresistible because he is so much fun to be around. He's a very funny man."
More About Tom Cruise
Tom Cruise filed a $100-million defamation lawsuit against a pornography actor
who allegedly claimed he had a gay affair that broke up Cruise's marriage. Chad
Slater told the French magazine Actustar that "he had a continuing homosexual
relationship during Cruise's marriage and that the relationship was discovered
by Cruise's wife, who ended the relationship," according to the lawsuit filed in
Los Angeles Superior Court. "Cruise is not and never has been a homosexual" and
"does not even know" Slater, the lawsuit said. Cruise's lawyer, Bert Fields,
said Actustar has agreed to publish a retraction. Slater uses the stage name
Kyle Bradford. There was no telephone listing for either name in the Hollywood
area.
Will Smith
Will Smith saved a young fan from choking to death after a surprise birthday
joke went wrong. The rapper and movie star was shopping in Los Angeles when a
fan spotted him and asked him to surprise his girlfriend, who was dining nearby.
Smith agreed and sneaked up behind the burger-munching teenager and started
singing 'Happy Birthday' to her. The poor girl was so shocked she started
choking. Smith performed the Heimlich manoeuvre and the girl spat the lodged
burger onto the counter of the burger joint. He then signed autographs and
completed his 'Happy Birthday' song before making his way out of the diner.
Barry Watson
Barry Watson, who played minister's son Matt Camden on the WB's "7th Heaven,"
has beaten cancer. Watson had planned to leave the show at the end of the
2001-02 season, and his character had been written off (he got married and moved
to New York in the season finale) before he was diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease.
During the summer, while undergoing chemo, he changed gears and joined the
show's writing staff. "He's been inspirational." "He's come in with great advice.
He can certainly hold his own in the room with the writers." Now that he's well,
he may pay the occasional on-screen visit to the Camden family, like fellow
departed costar Jessica Biel. "I would like to see him [back], but my second
choice is to have him up here writing," Hampton says. "We like having him and
keeping him in the family."
Brad Renfro
Hollywood hunk Brad Renfro is getting over his legal troubles by playing golf. "The
Client" star, who was arrested last when he and a friend tried to steal a yacht
from a Florida harbor, insists he's turned over a new leaf. He says, "It's funny
most kids my age are just getting into the party scene and I'm over that shit. I
don't go out and get arrested anymore. The most extravagant thing I do these
days is play golf. I'm like an old man." He continues, "I do have a bad
reputation but I think most of the time when folks meet me they don't have too
many bad things to say about me." Renfro was caught trying to steal the yacht
after he forgot to untie the boat from the dock, he says, "Aw, come on! Put two
and two together. It was a joke, a joke that went sour. I'm not that ignorant."
Elijah Wood
He starred in 1993's The Good Son with Macaulay Culkin, but Elijah Wood is glad
the blonde child actor got all the attention.
The Lord Of The Rings star thinks putting youngsters in front of the camera
before they have had the chance to fully develop is both unfair and wrong. He
says, "Child acting is a cut-throat world, which is pretty frightening and
really silly in retrospect. But it's the parents who are evil." "It is a really
difficult world to live in if you don't have a base, if you don't have a strong
sense of yourself. My mom wanted me to maintain a reasonable degree of normalcy
and to enjoy my childhood." "Family is so important. I rarely meet families who
are as close as we are. I feel really blessed."
Hugh Jackman
Australian hunk Hugh Jackman was on a strict binge-eating diet to build himself
up for X-Men 2. Jackman spent six months building up his physique to look like a
muscle packed superhero. And he admits the gruelling work out schedule left him
feeling a little sorry for himself. He says, "It's hard to change your body if
it doesn't want to. I've been doing nausea-inducing strength training four or
five times a week for an hour with my trainer Josh. He's the guy who worked with
Angelina Jolie for Lara Croft." "I also do 20 minutes of hard aerobic sessions
three times a week. And I eat all the time. My breakfast is oatmeal with a scoop
of protein powder, an egg white omelette, low-fat baked beans, low-fat cottage
cheese, a couple of slices of ham and sauteed spinach. I eat five or six times a
day, but I make sure not to eat any sugar, breads or pasta."
Jean-Claude Van Damme
Hollywood hard-nut Jean-Claude Van Damme is giving his fans the chance to look
just like him - by launching his own clothes line. And the Belgian martial arts
expert is revealing a gentler as well as more creative side with the Damage
Seven fashion range - he's promised to donate half the profits to charity. But
he's maintaining his customary hard-headedness in organizing how the cash is
distributed, saying, "We want to make sure the money goes to the right
foundation and does not get stolen."Bloodsport star Van Damme has already found a good spot to flog his wares in
London, after chatting with his old pal Mohammed Al Fayed, who owns the
exclusive Harrods store. A spokesman for the shop confirms Van Damme's goods
will be available at Harrods, explaining, "It'll be jeanswear, cargo pants,
camouflage wear. "You would have seen him wearing it at the Cannes Film
Festival."
More About Joshua Jackson
Poor old Joshua Jackson is such a workaholic he makes himself ill. The popular
Dawson's Creek star worked for nearly 60 days, surviving on a diet of pills, but
as soon as he stopped work he ended up ill in bed. Joshua, who played Pacey in
the popular TV drama, says, "I worked for 58 days without a break. I kept going
by mainlining multivitamins and ginseng, but as soon as the shooting was over I
got the flu. I guess that's nature's way of telling you you're doing something
wrong."
Leonardo DiCaprio
Leonardo DiCaprio is disgusted by reports he is disappointed with Gangs Of New
York - the hunk thinks the film is the highlight of his career. Leo lashed out
at reports that he had been telling people the Martin Scorsese movie "won't
exactly wow the world", and was negotiating a lump sum up front instead of the
flick's profits. His spokesman says, "Leonardo DiCaprio says that the experience
of working on the film has been the highlight of his career. He has never ever
believed in a project more strongly than this one. Neither he nor his
representative has ever sought to renegotiate his contract. And whomever is
alleging that statement is lying."
Matthew McConaughey
Remember when Matthew McConaughey was busted by police while playing his bongos
nude in his Texas home? Well, here's another peek at the actor's wild antics.
According to tabloid The Star, Matt was spotted walking a dog outside the
Hollywood Hills home he owns, wearing just his robe. And it was flapping in the
open breeze. And what's more, he wasn't wearing anything underneath! He didn't
seem the least bit concerned as he strode alone, making his latest news flash.
Ronan Keating
The little Irish star, Ronan Keating (Boyzone) has had his chest waxed. Not
physically, but by a skilled team of airbrushers all in an attempt to make him
look 'more friendly' to the American public. Ronan is currently looking for
success as a solo artist over in the States, with his single, 'Loving Each Day'
just about to be released over there. On the cover of that single in the UK, you
can see little tufts of hair on Ronan's chest creeping out from his sexily
unbuttoned shirt. On the cover of the single in the US, the same photo has been
used, but now Ronan is without his manly chest-wig. His label people have said
that this 'clean cut' look will appeal more to Americans, "We want him to look
more friendly. He looks less moody in the shot we've chosen and the hair has
gone." What next, a nose job?
News About Tom Cruise
After more than 10 years as Tinseltown's most glittery twosome, Tom Cruise and
Nicole Kidman had finally uncoupled. Blames split on "divergent careers which
constantly kept them apart." The jet-setting couple have homes in Los Angeles,
New York, Colorado and Australia (where Kidman has her roots) and, despite a
pledge to never spend more than two weeks apart, they have increasingly spent
less time together over the years. Theirs was a match made in Hollywood,
literally. They met on the set of the 1990 car racing flick Days of Thunder and,
despite their mismatched frames (she's five-foot-10, he's five-seven), they
immediately hit it off. That Christmas Eve, they wed in Telluride, Colorado. It
was the second trip down the aisle for Cruise, who was previously hitched to
actress Mimi Rogers (they divorced in 1990, just months before he married
Kidman), and first for Kidman. Of course, tabloids and gossips proclaimed the
couple's romance a bit too fictional, with stories of their impending split
popping up nearly every year of their decade-long marriage.
Ben Adams
A1 heartthrob Ben is facing the inevitable change from youth into man, but he
doesn't like the newly sprouting hair coming with it. Although the "Take On Me"
star claims to sport a colossal collection of follicles on his upper torso, he
points the finger at fellow band member Christian as the group's hair-bearing
champion. He says, "I've got so much chest hair you wouldn't believe, although
Christian wins the medal for hairiest band member. "Mind you, I've got flipping
hair everywhere. When I'm old, I'll probably be a werewolf!"
Colby Donaldson
Has hunky Survivor II star Colby Donaldson gone sex crazy, or was he just making
up for lost time in the Outback? Colby shocked eyewitnesses at the New York
nightclub Lotus by dirty dancing with well-toned Alicia, 33. "It was a very
sexual performance." "They posed like a loving couple for a photographer before
joining fellow Survivor Amber at the bar. It was a really swinging evening!" But
it didn't stop there, says the eyewitness. Before the night was over, Colby
sneaked into the men's bathroom with Survivor II hottie Amber, 22 -- and was
caught making out with her! "When Amber showed her sexy side, Colby jumped on it,"
says the eyewitness.
Eminem
Rapper Eminem and Pop star Geri Halliwell were set to become the strangest
couple in showbiz after going out on a string of secret dates. The bizarre union
came about after the pair bumped into each other by the pool of the Sunset
Marquis Hotel in Los Angeles when both stayed there. Before long they'd struck
up a conversation and arranged to go to a local bowling alley. One date turned
into another and the former Spice Girl was now a regular fixture in the
outspoken rapper's social life.
According to Britain's The Sun newspaper, a source says, "You wouldn't expect
them to have much in common - certainly in terms of their lifestyles. But the
relationship seems to work. "Geri was having a great time. She and Eminem have
been out together a few times, bowling and for meals. Who knows whether it will
lead to romance?" Geri has been single since splitting from coffee tycoon Bobby
Hashemi last year while Eminem is now divorced from childhood sweetheart Kim
Mathers, the mother of his five-year-old daughter Hailie. And the potential
coupling may not be as unlikely as some might think - on his debut hit My Name
Is, Eminem hinted that he liked one of the Spice Girls, when he rapped: "I can't
figure out which Spice Girl I wanna impregnate."
More About Hugh Jackman
Handsome actor Hugh Jackman has had sex with so many women he's lost count. The
Aussie hunk, who is happily married, now has to limit his womanizing to films.
But Hugh confesses that when he was single he had many conquests - but isn't
quite sure about the exact number of women he bedded. He says, "I don't know -
750 maybe? It's tough to remember. You can still be likable under a thousand,
right? In my experience, men do sometimes treat it on a slightly different level.
We think 'here's a cool conquest.'"
Joey Lawrence
Jennifer and Joey - who broke up in 1996 - recently spent an afternoon ambling
in and out of shops in Beverly Hills, and later took in some Chinese food at
Chin Chin in Encino. "Jennifer and Joey have hooked up again," revealed an
insider. "They spent hours walking around, going into shops, talking and just
enjoying each other's company. "They were laughing it up, and had a great time
just goofing around. Anyone who saw them on the street would have thought they
were in love!" The careers of "Party of Five" star Hewitt and "Blossom" star
Lawrence have gone in opposite directions since they split.
Justin Timberlake
AFTER saying "Bye, Bye, Bye" to Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake found solace
in the arms of Janet Jackson. Justin Timberlake was reportedly dating Janet
Jackson - who is 15 years his senior. The couple was spotted in action at Missy
Elliot's birthday party in Miami Beach, Florida, where the two singers brazenly
locked lips together in front of celebrities including Leonardo DiCaprio and
Tobey Maguire. A fellow reveler says, "Janet and Justin just started making out
in front of everyone. It's like they wanted the whole place to know." And
according to another source, rapper and producer Jermaine Dupri - who allegedly
dated Jackson - had a close encounter with the pair together at a Los Angeles
nightclub. The spy says, "Janet had paged Jermaine and told him to come meet her
at this club. But when he showed up Janet was on the dance floor grinding all
over Justin. She was going buck wild. Jermaine was not happy."
Leo DiCaprio
Gisele Bundchen and Leonardo DiCaprio, introduced each of their families to each
other over the festive period, fuelling rumours that the pair may soon marry.
Gisele flew her parents and five sisters over from their native Brazil, so that
they could join Leo’s family at the couple’s Malibu beach front home. The
two families shared dinner on New Year’s Eve, before heading to a nearby
private beach to work off the calories with a game of volleyball. The pair have
been spending so much time together that Leo was reportedly rebuked for allowing
his work to suffer whenever she paid him a visit. They were first tipped to be
engaged last October, when Leo spent a six-figure sum on a diamond ring for the
model, but Gisele was swift to deny that it was any more than a gift.
Orlando Bloom
Brit - Orlando Bloom and Aussie - Heath Ledger, are both starring in The Kelly
Gang, a film about the legendary Australian outlaw Ned Kelly. And, although, the
Brad Pitt-style shaggy facial hair they have grown for the flick is historically
accurate, Hollywood bosses are terrified their new beards will jeapordise the
pair's sex appeal with female film fans.
After much negotiation, Bloom and Ledger agreed to trim down to a trendy
stubble-look, but it was too late - too many scenes had been shot to start again.
Russell Crowe
After wowing audiences with his sword-swinging battles of past years, Russell
Crowe may be asked to don his sandals once more in a prequel to Gladiator. The
producers of the Oscar-winning Roman epic are currently in talks and are keen to
bring Russell back for second instalment. Producer Doug Wick says the follow-up
is "certainly something being discussed, but there's been no decision made.
We're looking at lots of options. Russell has a lot of voltage on screen." He
says, "You don't finally do something like that unless you have a dazzling story
to tell. What we certainly won't do is some shadow of the first one to grind out
a few bucks."
Do You Konw Tom Cruise?
Actress Melissa Gilbert has spoken out to crush reports Tom Cruise isn't
sexually inclined - Gilbert insists he's very hot.
Gilbert, who dated the movie star when she was 17 before he rose to fame in 'Risky
Business', "heartily disputes speculation" that there was no sex in the now
shattered 10-year marriage between Cruise and Nicole Kidman. Gilbert says, "I
can honestly say that he's a very sexual person. He gave me butterflies in my
tummy, and there was a lot of making out on the couch in my mom's living room."
The actress, who was once engaged to Rob Lowe, and has also dated actor Dylan
McDermott, says she's now happily married, but she realizes all too well how
anyone can have marital problems. She says, "Like any piece of fine machinery, a
marriage needs maintenance."
Ben Affleck
Hollywood hunk Ben Affleck appeared to have replaced a gambling habit with
another pricey obsession. Friends close to the tall and handsome star are
concerned the Hollywood A-lister had cultivated a worrying addiction to shopping.
Affleck blew an amazing $500,000 on one shopping spree in Las Vegas over a
Thanksgiving weekend. The main beneficiaries of his generosity were his (?)
future in-laws. The wealthy star paid $150,000 in cash for a Mercedes motorcar
for ex-beau Jennifer Lopez's mother Guadalupe. He also reportedly splashed
thousands more dollars on clothes and jewellery for J. Lo, Guadalaupe and
Jennifer's sister Linda. A source says, "It's this addiction thing. Addicts
spend like crazy, and we were concerned because we think he is exhibiting
addictive behavior."
George Clooney
Roberts and Clooney, who filmed Ocean's Eleven together, have been linked in the
past. The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported how the pair 'put on a steamy show
on the dancefloor' during the Ocean's Eleven wrap party. Clooney was dating
British model and TV presenter Lisa Snowdon, but their relationship was reported
to have ended, after she turned down his proposals of marriage.
James Marsden
Cyclops only has eyes for his new bride. "X-MEN" star, James Marsden's eyes
shoot out killer rays as he plays Cyclops in X-men 2 - but he only had eyes for
his lovely bride when he wed soap actress Lisa Linde. The gala affair was held
at Nashville's historic Union Station Hotel ballroom, which was lavishly
decorated for the event with candles and flowers. Lisa, played Ali McIntyre on
the soap "Days of Our Lives," walked down the aisle in front of 75 guests in a
traditional white gown, complete with veil and train. James, wore a black tux.
Johnny Depp
The United States is just too violent for Johnny Depp - that's why he lives in
France with his girlfriend, actor Vanessa Paradis. Depp said he's especially
shocked when he returns to the United States now that he and Paradis have a
daughter, Lily-Rose Melody Depp. "I mean, little kids going into school and
shooting up their pals and killing people - I have a little girl who's almost
two years old I don't want her to grow up with that kind of thing in her brain,"
Depp said. Depp stars as real-life drug trafficker George Jung in the movie Blow,
which opened Friday. He thinks Jung, who's in prison until 2014, should be
released early. "He's paid his debt to society," Depp said. "He should be able
to go out and teach kids about the dangers of drugs."
More About Justin Timberlake
Justin Timberlake of 'N Sync and ex-girlfriend Britney Spears are both familiar
with the pop charts, but will they both find a home on the best-seller lists?
Spears, has co-written a young adult novel with her mother. Meanwhile, a
proposal has been circulating around New York publishers for a sports thriller
called Crossover Dribble to be written by Timberlake. "The character is a white
Michael Jordan - a basketball phenomenon," says an editor who passed on the book.
The hero's name? Justin Woodriver. Timberlake's audience is girls, and sports
thrillers - which are a tough sell no matter how well they're written - are a
boys' market," says another editor, who also passed.
Marat Safin
Picture this: A family-man holding a bottle of beer in one hand and a baby in
another, or a tall and handsome Russian tennis player. In which image will Safin
look more attractive to you? It is not bull. Safin, a giant who is now 21 and 6
feet 4 in height, says he likes kids so much and will father two at least.
Reporter: Everybody agrees you are good looking. Which part do you think you
look the greatest? Do you think the fans like you due to your appearance? Safin:
I think the fans like me because I play pretty good. I don't know if I'm good
looking, you know, I'm a man and I don't always look into the mirror (Safin
gazes at me [the reporter] and oh, I am almost electrified), and I don't care
much about how I look by the way. Reporter: Many people say you are the
successor of Pete Sampras and Andre Agassi. Whose successor would you want to be?
Pete or Andre? Safin: I think "Successor of Sampras" is more applicable to me
since both of us are low-profiled. You can see Agassi on TV and magazines while
Sampras only concentrates on playing tennis.
Prince William
"I'm pregnant with your baby!" That stunning pronouncement from a girlfriend of
Prince William rocked the future King of England. A girlfriend of Prince William
is claiming that he is the father of her child. Charles is obviously freaking
out and he and William have had a huge blow up. Apparently, Charles is going mad
about William's behaviour on the London wild party scene and it is obvious that
he is not spending his time in the library at college.
Scott Stapp
The rock band Creed's lead singer Scott Stapp was injured in a car accident, the
band's spokesman said Monday. Creed spokesman Steve Karas said the crash
involved another vehicle and occurred in the Orlando area. Of Stapp's condition,
Karas would only say, "We don't want people to believe that this is a situation
where Scott will not recover." A posting on the band's web site said Stapp was
advised by medical professionals to cancel the concert tour while he recuperates.
Vanilla Ice
Rapper Vanilla Ice, after appearing in 'Da Hip Hop Witch', is continuing along
the comeback trail by collaborating on a track with hard rocking girl group
Betty Blowtorch. According to the band's frontwoman, Bianca Butthole, the
teaming of the talents came about purely by chance. She says, "We didn't really
write 'Size Queen' with him in mind. We'd written the song and recorded it but
something was missing." Then, as luck would have it, the band came across Ice at
their Sound City studio in Los Angeles and asked him if he would like to rap
over the track. He said, "I can rap over anything." Ice took only five minutes
to freestyle the lyrics. The track will feature on Betty Blowtorch's next album,
'Are You Man Enough?', which is due to be released in the U.S. later in the year.
More About Ben Affleck

Prince Frederik
Danish royal watchers are convinced the heir to their throne, Crown Prince
Frederik, is about to announce his engagement to former Sydney real estate agent
Mary Donaldson. Ms Donaldson was wearing a large ring on her left ring finger
when she was spotted in public with the crown prince in Denmark last weekend.
The ring is the latest development in a romance that began two years ago at the
Sydney Olympics and has since captivated Denmark. Whether the ring signifies an
engagement has Danish royal watchers in a frenzy of debate. The 30-year-old
former Belle Property agent and her 34-year-old royal lover are becoming
increasingly public with their affections. While there is a question mark over
the engagement, there is no doubt Ms Donaldson is being groomed to assume the
role of future queen of Denmark. Gone are the casual outfits she used to wear
before she left Sydney. In their place are smart suits like the white and beige
ensemble she wore to the baptism, and stunning couture gowns like the one she
wore to the wedding.
Goran Visnjic
Goran Visnjic appeared in a movie in his native Croatia for free. The ER
heartthrob accepted a part in the film Long Dark Night - which will be directed
by his father-in-law Antun Vrdoljak. Vrdoljak was clearly delighted by securing
the services of his famous relative, saying, "Goran has a four-year contract
with Warner Bros and he is paid in six-digit amounts for every episode. Here we
could pay him 10 or 15 thousand pounds, so he reacted as a gentleman and refused
to receive any payment." Goran will play the role of a World War II partisan
fighting the Nazi invaders. And he was so committed to making the movie, he
missed three episodes of ER while filming in Croatia.
Jason Biggs
American Pie star Jason Biggs vacationed in the troubled country not to long ago.
The young actor flew to Tel Aviv, west of the West Bank area where the fighting
between the Israeli and Palestinians is centered, with his girlfriend and was
near the suicide bombing of a restaurant. He recalls, "We were walking to get an
after-dinner drink on Allenby Street and heard this loud bang. It made
everything that's happening in Israel real for me."
Jonathan Jackson
Jonathan Jackson, best known for his role as Lucky Spencer on ABC's daytime soap
opera "General Hospital" married Lisa Vultaggio, also a former star of "General
Hospital" in June 2002. The couple was last spotted at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in
San Francisco in August promoting Jackson's new movie "Tuck Everlasting". He had
been napping with his wife in their room on the hotel's secured eighth floor.
When he went down to meet the press, he's dressed comfortably, clad in a gray
printed T-shirt, black leather jacket, jeans and athletic shoes. Aside from the
entertainment industry, Jackson is passionate about his religion, Christianity,
and enjoys ministering to young people through Wildbranch, a nonprofit
foundation that advises the teaching of both the Old and New Testaments of the
Bible. "My brother and I go to different schools and talk and encourage young
kids," he says. "I hope to keep that stuff in motion. It is kind of what I'm
most passionate about." But right now, Jackson and new wife Vultaggio, who has
taken a break from acting, are just enjoying their time together. "She probably
will act once in a while, but she's not really pursuing it, he says. "We're just
having fun being married."
News About Justin Timberlake
Fifteen year old Danielle McGuire filed a lawsuit against N'Sync's Justin
Timberlake claiming intentional infliction of emotional distress and false
imprisonment. According to Mcguire's attorney, John Wallach, the incident
occurred at the Chase Park Plaza in St. Louis Missouri where the young fan had
gone with her mother to be among hundreds of fans to meet the wildly popular
boy-of-five band in the hotel lobby. When every member of the band, but Justin,
talked with fans McGuire shouted "I like JC better anyway, he's cuter!" McGuire,
says she was later approached by a security guard who told her to follow him
upstairs, but did not allow her to tell her mother where she was going. The suit
also alleges that Justin then met with her in the hotel, backed her up against a
wall and proceeded to yell at her. "He was right in her face," Wallach said, "saying
things over and over again." News anchor Randy Jackson was finally allowed
upstairs after security had barred the way for McGuire's mother. According to
Jackson, Justin was "yelling at McGuire" when he approached them. Justin limped
away when he saw the newsman, saying his leg hurt.
More About Mark Wahlberg
New details about Perfect Storm star's former street life. We all know Mark
Wahlberg, star of The Perfect Storm, did three months in jail for stealing beer,
but the crime now appears to be quite a bit more than a school-boy prank.
Tabloid reports claim that, during the robbery, Wahlberg broke a cop's nose and
blinded another man in one eye. Here's what The National Enquirer says about the
incident: "Wahlberg's bloody spree came in 1987 after a night of smoking
PCP-laced pot with friends. The wild teens went on a rampage through their
Boston neighborhood, robbing a pharmacy. The actor beat the security guard with
his own stick, then 'ran behind the counter and took money out of the register,'
he confesses to the tabs. Later, Wahlberg jumped a man carrying two cases of
beer as he was coming out of a store, bashing the stranger with the guard's
stick, blinding him in one eye. When the cops nabbed him, the combative actor
broke an officer's nose. 'I had a good idea of what right and wrong were
supposed to be,' says Wahlberg, "but I didn't think it necessarily applied.'"
More About Prince William
He leaves Charles in tears HUGGING his dear son, Prince Charles broke down in
tears after William made a shocking confession.
"I won't be King -- and neither you nor anybody else can make me!" the defiant
William told his devastated dad. What's more, the young heir to the throne
stunned the entire royal family by declaring that the monarchy should be
completely abolished.
"William told his father: 'I won't ever get used to living with people watching
my every move and treating me like some museum piece. That's why I don't have
the same aspirations as you.' "Charles told him, 'They're not aspirations so
much as our destiny. I think you'll understand that eventually.' " That's when
William exploded, said the palace insider. "I've told you before and I'll tell
you again. I won't be King and neither you nor anybody else can make me! "I want
something that passes for a normal life. I want to live in the real world. Is
that too much to ask? "In fact, if I had my way we'd just get rid of royalty
altogether. It's outlived its usefulness. I wish you would realize that. "If you
really think about it, royalty killed my mother. And I don't want it to wreck my
life like it's wrecked so many others."
Seann William Scott
Actor Seann William Scott had the worst case of sex education - when he heard
his parents making love upstairs. The American Pie 2 actor remembers the day
vividly and hopes he never comes across any further evidence that his parents
still have a sexually active life. He says, "If I saw my dad even look at porno
it'd be over with our relationship. I'd either have a heart attack or throw up.
I remember one time my mom and dad were hanging out and they were like, 'Why
don't you go over to Matt's house and play basketball?' I was like, 'I just
played an hour ago'. They said I should go back and play again. So I went
downstairs and was like, I don't want to play basketball. I turned on the TV to
watch some Price is Right and I freaking heard the bed bang and everything. I
ran out of the house like Forest Gump."

American tabloid the Star, "There were 100 reporters around, but when he saw
Maria, they just fell into each other's arms. They were holding hands and

he'd see her a day later and I don't remember any other public appearances
scheduled for Vin." When asked what do you look for a woman, Vin said, "I've
always wanted a girl to be cool. I like strength in a woman. I like independence.

News About Ben Affleck
Just like in Pearl Harbor, Ben Affleck would beat up his best friend if he slept
with his girlfriend in real life. In Michael Bay's WW II-drama, Ben and Josh
Hartnett have a confrontation over Hartnett's relationship with Kate Beckinsale.
"Like in the movie I would give my best friend a good slapping. But seriously, I
really wouldn't know what to do. I'm glad to say that such an experience has
never happened to me yet. It is tough when your best friend sleeps with your
lady. My best friend Matt Damon wouldn't do such a thing. But the first thing
I'd ask him if he did would be, 'Wow, Matt! Are you straight?'"
Danny Nucci
After sharing the spotlight with Leonardo DiCaprio in Titanic and Denzel
Washington in Crimson Tide, Danny Nucci landed a starring role on a TV comedy
series. In Some of my Friends, Nucci played a character who unknowingly ends up

starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and The Big Squeeze with Lara Flynn Boyle.
Hayden Christensen
A leading American gay magazine declared Christensen to be "definitely gay", and
Hayden's more amused than annoyed at the speculation. He says, "It's hilarious.
I'm not gay. It's amazing how much people will speculate if they haven't actual
information to draw from, they just make up whatever they feel is appropriate.
That's cool. As long as the people I know and care about know the truth then
everyone else's opinion doesn't really matter." He also talked about how he
forced the directors to do extra takes of his kissing scenes with his co-star,
Natalie Portman, by doing a thumbs-up at the camera. Laughing, he said "They
would be like, 'You have to stop doing that Hayden! Now we have to do the whole
scene again.' I'd be like, 'Fine'."

and has raced professionally for the past ten years, Priestley apparently ran
over a patch of "oil-dry," an absorbent material used to soak up oil from
another car. The car turned sideways, then corrected and slammed head-on into an
outside wall at 180 mph. In addition to his broken back, the actor suffered
fractures to both feet and lacerations on the bridge of his nose, left cheek and
neck; he apparently did not suffer any paralysis. Doctors say that, aside from a
